Washington state pauses use of Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine as feds review rare clotting cases
Washington state Tuesday paused the administration of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine doses, following federal guidance after six of the 6.8 million people to receive the shot developed rare blood clots.
鈥淭his action is being taken out of extreme caution,鈥 said Dr. Umair Shah, the state鈥檚 health secretary, adding that he expected the pause would be temporary.
