Western softball team splits on first day of tournament
"Pitcher Sarah McEnroe scattered five hits in throwing a shutout as Western Washington University blanked San Francisco State University 3-0 then the Vikings fell 5-2 to host Cal State Stanislaus in opening-day softball action Friday, March 26, at the ninth annual Tournament of Champions in Turlock, Calif.
The Vikings, 10-12, complete pool play Saturday with three games, meeting Chico State at 11:15 a.m., Cal State Dominguez Hills at 2 p.m. and Humboldt State at 4:15 p.m. Bracket play is Sunday."
