Women's basketball: Vikings clinch bye in GNAC tournament
Guard Trishi Williams had a game-high 20 points on 8-of-10 field-goal shooting, leading Western Washington University to a 72-62 victory over Seattle Pacific University in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's basketball contest Thursday, Feb. 23, at Royal Brougham Pavilion on the SPU campus.
The Vikings, who were fifth in this week's NCAA Division II West Region rating, improved to 19-6 overall and 13-4 in the GNAC with their seventh victory in the last eight games. The triumph clinched second place in the GNAC and a first-round bye in next week's conference tournament.
