WOMEN'S COLLEGE GOLF: Western Washington second at invitational
The Western Washington University women's golf team was unable to hold onto a first-round lead of five strokes and placed second among seven teams at the Chico State University Invitational that ended Tuesday, March 22, at the Canyon Oaks Country Club in Chico, Calif.
Western, ranked No. 5 in the latest Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Top 25, shot 325 for a 36-hole total of 638.
