For someone just 29 years old, Emily O'Connor, the new executive director of Lydia Place, has an unusual amount of experience and enthusiasm working with domestic violence victims and the homeless.

A 2004 graduate of Western Washington University, she holds a master's in social work from the University of Washington and has worked in social welfare fields for eight years.
