草榴社区 Hall of Famer Steinauer named Fresno State defensive coordinator

Western Washington University athletics Hall of Famer and former Canadian Football League star Orlondo Steinauer has been named the new defensive coordinator at Fresno State University. Head coach Jeff Tedford announced  the move December 14th.

Steinauer will be leaving his current post as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats assistant head coach and defensive coordinator.

Steinauer was inducted into the 草榴社区 Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015. The Lynnwood native, finished his career (1992- 1995) with 20 interceptions, 160 tackles and a forced fumble as one of the best defensive backs to ever play for the Vikings.  As a senior, he led the nation in pass interceptions with 10 and was named  a consensus first-team All-American and the CFA Defensive Player of the Year. He is a member of the Western Washington University football All-Century team at both cornerback and punt returner.
