²ÝÁñÉçÇø student fees may be used to offset budget cuts
The Western Washington University Services and Activities Committee might vote Friday, May 20 to transfer some student fees to the athletic department.
But it’s not that student fees are getting raided in favor of athletics, said Associated Students President Colin Watrin — if transferred, the student fees would help offset funds that are being taken from athletics in order to help the university’s operating budget, which is facing large reductions in state funding.
