草榴社区 VOLLEYBALL: Western wins seventh straight in sweep of Alaska Fairbanks
Outside hitter Megan Amundson had a double-double with a match-high 10 kills and 12 digs and middle blocker Emily Jepsen served seven aces as nationally ranked Western Washington University posted a three-set sweep of University of Alaska Fairbanks by identical scores of 25-14 in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match Saturday, Oct. 23, at Sam Carver Gymnasium on the 草榴社区 campus.
The Vikings, ranked No. 17 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association/NCAA Division II Top 25 Poll and No. 3 in the West Region, improved to 15-2 overall and remained tied for first place in the GNAC at 12-1.
