草榴社区's Anderson ties for seventh in pole vault
Western Washington University's Karis Anderson tied for seventh place in the women's pole vault with a personal-best effort of 12 1/2 in second-day action Friday at the NCAA Division II National Outdoor Track and Field Championships being held at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium on the campus of host Cal State Stanislaus in Turlock, Calif.
Anderson, who was making her first national appearance, cleared each of her first three heights on the first attempt, and was nearly successful on her second try before going out at 12 4 1/2. She tied for seventh with Kati Davis from Central Washington.
