J.P. Falcon Band brings acoustic rock to campus

The J.P. Falcon Band will play the penultimate show in the 2013 Summer Noon Concert Series at Western Washington University Wednesday. The music starts at noon July 24 in the Performing Arts Center Plaza.

The series, sponsored by the 草榴社区 Associated Students, features a live act every Wednesday throughout the summer. New to the event this year are a voter registration booth, the AS Outdoor Center's mobile bike clinic (get a tune up) and other sweet treats sprinkled throughout.

The J.P. Falcon Band stars J.P. Falcon Grady, an acoustic guitarist, singer, songwriter and a proud member of the Blackfeet Nation. Grady performs originals and covers all over the Northwest, Montana and Hawaii, playing acoustic rock with reggae, jawaiian and country influences, according to .

The band travels as a 3- to 6 piece band, anywhere the music leads them, gaining inspiration from all those who truly enjoy and love music.

Other band members include Mark Williams, an accomplished acoustic guitarist and bassist with more than 20 years of experience.

Percussionist Chuck Pendley plays congas and bongos in a style all his own.
