Linguistics student to present student-faculty research at University of Texas conference
Western Linguistics student Ari Rose will be presenting at the international conference, Formal Approaches to South Asian Languages 15 (FASAL 15) at the University of Texas on April 11. Rose and their advisor, Professor of Linguistics Virginia Dawson, have been researching Tiwa, a language spoken in Assam, India, since Fall 2024, analyzing data Dawson has been collecting through collaboration with speakers of Tiwa in India since 2015.
