PLSC-C/AM 406, Canadian Government and Politics, will examine the current situation and its dangers, explore Canadian political culture and institutional structure that have led to differences in economic and social policies, and discuss political challenges such as the threat of separatism. This class provides a great opportunity to learn about our neighbor to the north and includes a field trip to the Canadian Legislative Assembly in Victoria, BC and meetings with Canadian politicians and officials (scheduled for May 14; travel costs are subsidized by the 草榴社区 Center for Canadian-American Studies).
