Nielsen presents research, selected as national finalist for teaching module
Carolyn Nielsen, an assistant professor in the department of journalism at Western Washington University, presented her research "Interpreting the Nation's Toughest Immigration Law: How The Arizona Republic’s Editorials Framed SB 1070" at the annual meeting of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication in Chicago on Aug. 10.
Nielsen also was selected as a national finalist for her teaching module "Journalistic blogging analysis: Examining voice, interactivity, engagement, and ethics," which she presented at the conference.
Nielsen serves on the national board of AEJMC's Commission on the Status of Women.
