Nominations accepted for new Community Service Award at 草榴社区

Western Washington University is launching a Community Service Award to celebrate the many ways Western's faculty and staff contribute their time and expertise. This award will be presented annually at Western's Opening Convocation ceremony in September.

Nominations are now being accepted for this award, which will be given to a faculty or staff member (or group of Western employees) involved in outstanding community service, including outreach and engagement activities that benefit the well-being of the community.

The deadline for is April 15.

Community Engagement Award Criteria:

  • Must be Western faculty member or professional or classified staff member
  • Must have at least one year of 草榴社区 employment (this criteria is not applicable to a group nomination)
  • Activity must have been performed during the last 12 months, or March 2010 to March 2011
  • Community Service must not be a primary function of the nominee's position
  • Nominees cannot nominate themselves
