NSLS Winter Speaker Series begins today at 4 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. in VU 552, Thaddeus Bullard is participating in a live broadcast event sponsored by the 草榴社区 chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success with co-sponsors of the LEADS program, Karen W. Morse Institute of Leadership, and the Associated Students of 草榴社区. The speaker broadcast is free to all students, staff and faculty. The event will be streamed live and hosted by Montclair State University in New Jersey. All viewers are invited to submit questions via Twitter and Facebook, which will be answered live during the broadcast.

Thaddeus Bullard is a global entertainer with the WWE. Out of the ring, his passion as a philanthropist, father, and mentor has helped thousands of kids, raised millions of dollars for scholarships and programs, and helped with fundraising and awareness for organizations such as the United Way, Susan G. Komen, Special Olympics and many others. If you miss today鈥檚 event, the rebroadcast of his speech is on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. in VU 552.

Feb. 28 鈥 Kathryn Minshew

Winter quarter will feature two additional speakers after Bullard.  On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. in VU 552, Kathryn Minshew, CEO & Co-Founder of The Muse, a career platform that helps over 50 million people as they seek career satisfaction, will be live broadcast.  Minshew is also the author of 鈥淭he New Rules of Work,鈥 a modern playbook to guide people through the new world of work.  Prior to founding The Muse, Kathryn worked on vaccine introduction in Rwanda and Malawi with the Clinton Health Access Initiative and previously worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.  If you have a schedule conflict, the rebroadcast of her speech is on Wednesday, March x8, at 6pm in VU 552. Because Kathryn and The Muse website are very helpful for employability and career pursuits, this broadcast will also be shown again in spring quarter!

March 13  鈥 Scott Hamilton

On Tuesday, March 13 at 4 p.m. in VU 552, Scott Hamilton, the most recognized male figure skating star in the world, will participate in a livestream broadcast.  Hamilton has won over 70 titles, awards and honors including his broadcasting role from the 2018 winter Olympics, four consecutive World Championships, induction into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and an Emmy Award nomination.  In 1984, Scott captured the attention of the world with his Olympic gold medal performance in Sarajevo, and has since shared his love and enthusiasm for the sport as an analyst/commentator, performer, producer and best-selling author. It will be great to listen to any leadership and success comments he will make after being a key skating broadcaster for the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

The National Society of Leadership and Success is the nation鈥檚 largest leadership honor society.
