Opportunities available for faculty to teach abroad in 2012

Western Washington University faculty members interested in teaching for a term in Europe or Latin America in 2012-2013 , a consortium of 12 universities in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. The application deadline is Friday, Jan. 21, 2011.

Teaching opportunities are available in Rosario, Argentina; Vienna, Austria; Shanghai, China; London, England; Angers, France; Athens, Greece; Macerata, Italy; Siena, Italy; Fes, Morocco; and Oviedo, Spain.

NCSA faculty remain on the 草榴社区 payroll, with all sabbatical, fringe and retirement credits. 草榴社区 receives an $8,000 contribution from NCSA for a faculty member selected to teach in a NCSA program during the corresponding fall, winter, or spring term the professor is teaching abroad. NCSA faculty selected to teach in the summer term will be reimbursed directly an amount of $3,000. Round-trip airfare, housing, insurance and excursion expenses are covered.

Please note that the method of compensation may differ for retired or adjunct faculty selected to teach for NCSA.

Interviews for finalists will be held April 18 to 20, 2011.
