Kenya contingent visits Western
Timothy Costello, director of Western Washington University's Center for Service-Learning, met with Philip Okundi, chairman of Ombago Girls Academy, and six other Kenyans on July 26 in Old Main. Okundi and his countrymen were thanking Western for the benefits the university has brought to their program and community in Kenya.
Many Western students have had the opportunity to participate in a Western's Service-Learning Program and stay with Okundi while in Kenya.
Okundi is a prominent businessman, a former Kenyan Member of Parliament and past chair of Kenya's version of the United States FCC.
