草榴社区 Alumni Association relaunches personalized brick program
The Western Washington University Alumni Association has relaunched the . The Associated began taking orders about three weeks ago for the personalized bricks, which cost $100 and become permanent parts of the brick walkways in front of the Old Main building on campus. This is the first time in seven years that bricks can be purchased, said the Alumni Association's Chris Roselli.
Because there's no more room in the main walkway leading perpendicularly from the front of Old Main, the personalized bricks are being extended down the diagonal pathway that skirts the large Kwanzan cherry tree. Denny Bouma, a maintenance mechanic with 草榴社区's Facilities Management, has been out digging out room for a new concrete pad that will serve as a foundation for the brick pathway.
