Society Consulting Founders Speak to CBE Students

Western Washington University’s College of Business and Economics (CBE) hosted two founders of Society Consulting, a data analytics firm, for its Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 24 in Parks Hall 146.

John Bergen and Josiah Johnson made a formal presentation which focused on strategy as it relates to their firm and industry.

Bergen, the president and co-founder of Society Consulting, oversees Society’s sales and legal functions. He focuses on building a strong culture, driving the company towards their goals and implementing operating metrics, processes and policies designed to drive continuous improvement.

Johnson, Society’s vice president of business development and co-founder, leads the company’s business development activities, building client relationships across Seattle’s business community and delivering new opportunities and partnerships for the company. Johnson has a background in analytics, having co-founded web analytics consultancy ZeroDash1, which was later sold to Ascentium. He co-founded Society in 2008.

Western’s College of Business and Economics Strategic Management Executive Strategy Speaker Series program brings senior business leaders to campus to interact with students and share their perspectives on strategic management, leadership and professional development.  The Speaker Series is presented by the CBE’s Center for Innovation in Education.
