²ÝÁñÉçÇø Theatre Arts to present family production 'Things That Fly' on Saturdays in Fairhaven this summer

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Department of Theatre Arts will present “Things That Fly,” a free family production, on Saturdays this summer at the Fairhaven Village Green.

The production will show at 2 p.m. on the following Saturdays: July 10, 17, 24 and Aug. 7, 14, 21, and 28.

All performances are free and suitable for all ages. In addition to the production, there will be face painting, balloons, and treats for playgoers – a perfect summer event for the whole family to enjoy.

Directed by ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Charlotte Guyette, “Things That Fly” tells the story of 11-year-old Robert, who with the help from his little sister Sally, has built a flying machine in their backyard. On launch day, when the machine fails to operate as expected, Robert is ridiculed by his older brother as well as local neighborhood kids who have come to watch. Little Sally comes to his rescue and together they take a trip to the stars.
