Students, faculty en route to east Africa
A handful of students and faculty from Western Washington University are taking part in an international service-learning program in Kenya and Rwanda this winter.
The group is due to arrive in Kochia, Kenya, today; they'll be there until Feb. 17 before moving on to Gashora and then Kisimu, both in Rwanda, until early March.
Students and faculty will be blogging about their experiences at聽.
Overall, two faculty members and 14 students are on the trip. During their six weeks in country, the students will learn through classroom/discussion/lecture and applied learning and service opportunities.
