Tech group to investigate tools for promoting personal brand Nov. 10

The campus Learning Technology Group will examine options for helping faculty promote themselves and their work on the web from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, in .

The discussion will focus on 草榴社区's new WordPress environment, CEDAR (SelectedWorks for Authors), social media and more. For those who cannot attend, video of the session will be and then archived for later access.

Learn about the value of “personal branding” (i.e., what people find when they Google you) in terms of the following:

  • Connecting with professionals just like you
  • Communicating your expertise to professional peers and current or potential students
  • Accessing experts and answers in your field
  • Building your online portfolio
