The Ames to play at noon July 10 in free concert on campus

The Ames, a trio from Bellingham, is building steam with their original music that refuses to be labeled by one genre. Fans of indie rock, folk and that old-time sound will be pleased by this act’s polished yet genuine (and genuinely fun) and infectious sound.

They play a free concert at noon on Wednesday, July 10, in the Performing Arts Center Plaza. The show is part of the Summer Noon Concert series from the Associated Students.

Special feature: cookies and brownies! Plus, ice cream courtesy of Extended Education, who remind faculty and staff that they can enjoy free ice cream while it lasts compliments of Summer Session. Wear your Summer @ Western T-shirt to the event to be entered into a drawing.

Future acts:

  • July 17: Takes All Kinds (blues-rock, funk, soul)
  • July 24: J.P. Falcon Band (acoustic, rock, reggae, jawaiian, country)
  • July 31: Jake Barrow (rock, indie pop)
