Three new university policies approved
The Policy on has been approved and effective as of August 1, 2024. Below are the highlights of the policy:
- Overview -includes list of protected classes.
- Section 1-The University does not discriminate based on a protected class in its education programs and activities.
- Section 8- Online harassment and misconduct is prohibited.
- Section 9-Supersiory employees must promptly report known or suspected incidents of discrimination.
- Section 12- Employees are required to cooperate with investigations
The Policy on has been approved and effective as of August 1, 2024. Below are the highlights of the policy:
- Section 1- The University prohibits discrimination based on sex, sex-based characteristics, sex-based stereotypes, pregnancy and related conditions, gender identity and sexual orientation.
- Section 3-草榴社区 students, employees and other members of the University community are required to complete training provided by the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX.
- Section 8- Online harassment and misconduct is prohibited.
- Section 9-With the exception of confidential employees and attendance at educational or awareness events, all employees (including student employees) have a duty to report known or suspected incidents of
discrimination.
The policy on has been approved and is effective as of August 2, 2024. Below are the highlights of the policy:
- The policy demonstrates Western鈥檚 commitment to a safe and respectful learning environment for its students and does not tolerate hazing by any individual, organization, group or affiliate.
- The policy defines hazing and outlines penalties for conspiring to haze or participating in hazing.
- Section 4- All employees and certain volunteers are required to complete Hazing Awareness Training.
- Section 5 outlines the duty of employees and volunteers to report suspected or known hazing incidents and details how to do so.
