Top-seeded 草榴社区 hosts regional volleyball championships
Western is hosting the NCAA II West Regional volleyball championship beginning Thursday in Carver Gymnasium.
The Vikings, ranked second in the nation and seeded first in the West Region, play Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. against No. 8 seed Cal State East Bay. Western has a 25-match winning streak heading into post season play.
This is Western鈥檚 seventh consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Women鈥檚 Volley Championships. All matches will be posted on the Tournament Central Website at .
West Regional Quarterfinals schedule for Thursday:
- Noon: Cal State LA (3) vs. Central Washington University (6)
- 2:30 p.m.: Cal State San Bernardino (2) vs. Chaminade University (7)
- 5 p.m.: Cal Poly Pomona (4) vs. Azusa Pacific (5)
- 7:30 p.m.: Western (1) vs. Cal State East Bay (8)
Two semifinal games will be held Friday, at 5 and 7:30 p.m. The final game will be Saturday at 7 p.m.
