Undergraduate Research Day in Olympia a huge success

Yesterday was Undergraduate Research Day in Olympia, a day when students from Washington鈥檚 six public baccalaureate institutions displayed their work in the Capitol Building and legislators celebrated the important contributions of undergraduate research throughout the state through , sponsored by Senator Kevin Ranker.

As part of Undergraduate Research Day, 草榴社区 computer science student Ted Weber and faculty advisor Dr. Moushumi Sharmin (right) showcased their research on a smoking-cessation app called 鈥淢yQuitPal.鈥 Ted has received multiple awards for his work on this project, which helps people quit smoking through an easy-to-use phone application to monitor their moods, behaviors, and progress towards reaching their goals.
