BIPOC x Disability Affinity Space
Join us for BIPOC x Disability Affinity Space on Friday, May 23 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM in VU 735! This community building event is focused on providing a space for disabled students of color to meet others with similar experiences and engage in a fun speed-friending activity. This event centers certain populations and, like all Western Washington University and The Centers for Student Access, Community, and Intercultural Engagement events, all are welcome. Everyone is asked to come open-minded and attentive to the purpose of the space.
DisCo (Disability Community) Celebration of Graduates and Awards Ceremony
Join the Disability Access Center and Disability Outreach Center on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in Viking Union 565 A/B/C for our second annual DisCo (Disability Community) Celebration of Graduates and Awards Ceremony! This ceremony celebrates our disability community and honors our graduates with a reading of names and a cording ceremony. We will also have keynote speeches, awards, food, resources, and more. This event is open to current and graduating students, staff, faculty, alumni, family and friends, and community members. The deadline for graduating students to register to be recognized and receive a cord at the event or to be in the event program is this Friday, May 23 at 11:59 PM.
DAC and DOC Hiring for 2025-2026 Academic Year
The Disability Access Center and Disability Outreach Center are hiring student employees for the 2025-2026 academic year! The DAC is hiring Accessibility Assistants, and the DOC is hiring an Education and Advocacy Co-Coordinator. The deadline to apply as an Accessibility Assistant is May 30, and the deadline to apply as the Education and Advocacy Co-Coordinator is May 25. Both positions are listed on the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Work Study Center job board.
