Mark Greenberg, chair of the Vice Provost for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer Search Committee, is pleased to provide the following information about search activities to date:

Thank you to the more than 400 people who provided feedback about technology needs at Western and the personal and professional qualities desired in the university’s next Vice Provost for IT / CIO.  The search committee carefully reviewed the survey results and town hall meeting notes and used that information to write the position announcement. That announcement has been completed and published in a variety of national publication outlets.  The announcement includes .  Applicant screening begins March 24, 2017. 

The search committee is now asking the campus community for assistance. If you know of someone who meets the qualifications for the position, please direct them to the and encourage them to apply. In addition, nominations for the position, including names and contact information, may be sent to either Mark Greenberg, Search Committee Chair, or Jennifer Sloan, Provost’s Office.  Also, members of the campus community are encouraged to post the position on listservs of relevant professional organizations – send the information to either Mark Greenberg or Jennifer Sloan for the files.
