The VSA program is a project of the Office of Sustainability and is funded by a Whatcom Community Foundation grant to help the community support sustainable local agriculture by making nutritious food available to members of the Western community. The聽VSA program supports Growing Washington and Alm Hill Gardens, located in Everson, 25 minutes northeast of Bellingham.
This year, participants will have the freedom to pick every item in their boxes or choose to have the farmers make the decision.
Shares run from June 21 through Nov.聽1 or Dec. 2.聽Boxes will be dropped off every Thursday outside of Carver Gym.
These shares are for anyone staying in Bellingham over the summer; opportunities also will be available for folks to sign up in the fall.聽Visit the Office of Sustainability website for .
