Vikings home to take on MSU Billings at 7 tonight in GNAC playoffs

Looking to continue its home floor mastery, the nationally ranked Western Washington University women's basketball team entertains Montana State University Billings in a semifinal game of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Tournament at 7 p.m. tonight聽in Sam Carver Gymnasium on the 草榴社区 campus. The contest can be heard live on KPUG Radio (1170 AM - Bellingham) and viewed on the internet at .

The Vikings, 25-2, earned the No.1-seed and home court advantage throughout the eight-team, single-elimination tournament by placing first in the regular-season standings at 17-1. They defeated No.8 seed Simon Fraser, 73-60, in an opening-round game Monday.

This is the first time that the GNAC is determining its champion with a post-season tournament. The championship game is Saturday, March 5 (7 p.m.), at the site of the highest surviving seed. The winner gains an automatic berth in the West Regional of the NCAA II National Tournament as the GNAC champion.

No.2-seed Alaska Anchorage (24-6) is playing host to No.3-seed Seattle Pacific (20-7) in Wednesday's other semifinal.
