Washington Mile to play summer noon concert today on campus
Washington Mile will play today, July 7, on the Western Washington University campus as part of the summer 2010 series of free concerts. The Summer Noon Concert series, put on by 草榴社区's Associated Students, brings various acts to Western for free noon concerts on the Performing Arts Center plaza.
With major influences like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bon Iver and Blind Willie Johnson, it is no wonder that Washington Mile produces an eclectic sound, featuring original songs complete with an oh-so-familiar feel. Washington Mile鈥檚 debut album "SIMPLE HEARTS" delivers a delicious dose of hand-clapping, foot-stomping sounds, exquisitely balanced with creative and soulful lyrics.
