It's only November, but winter weather is upon us, and Western Washington University officials will be paying close attention to the weather in the next few days to determine whether conditions are safe for operations at the university and for travel to and from campus.

To stay abreast of possible closures and delays at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø, pay attention to these sources:

• . In the event of a delay or a closure, the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø website will be updated regularly with the latest information. Also pay attention to the .
• The storm line/emergency hotline. The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø storm line, at (360) 650-6500, is updated each morning on days of questionable weather.
• Your e-mail and cell phone. If you're a ²ÝÁñÉçÇø student or employee and you've submitted your cell phone number via , you'll get a message sent to your cell phone via the Western Alert system when campus is fully or partially closed.

A few travel tips, courtesy of the Sustainable Transportation office at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø:

• On your day of travel, for rider alerts, route changes, delays or closures due to weather conditions.
• Students: Text "bus" to 68398 to receive updates about late night student shuttle service, in the event that it stops running due to unsafe weather conditions.
• Dress appropriately for the weather in the event that your planned transportation is delayed or canceled.
