Western employees reminded to report suspected child abuse

Washington state law requires higher education administrative and academic or athletic department employees, including student employees, to report reasonably suspected child abuse to law enforcement or the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.  Western also requires reports to the Equal Opportunity Office, Title IX Coordinator, and employee supervisors.

In light of Western’s upcoming summer youth camps and programs, you are reminded of the University’s child abuse mandatory reporting procedures: 

 

Following these procedures will satisfy both State and University requirements.
