Western honored for commitment to preventing domestic violence
Western Washington University is one of eight Whatcom County workplaces that were honored Jan. 26 for adopting and implementing comprehensive domestic violence in the workplace policies and procedures.
Whatcom County Executive Jack聽Louws聽presented certificates of recognition to the workplaces during the聽Bellingham-Whatcom County Commission Against Domestic Violence meeting on Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Bellingham Police Department.
The eight workplaces that were honored by the DV Commission are:
- City of Bellingham
- City of Blaine
- Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services
- DSHS Community Service Office
- Haggen, Inc.
- Sullivan Plumbing
- Western Washington University
- Whatcom County
The DV Commission provides leadership in our community鈥檚 efforts to reduce and prevent domestic violence.
