Western Libraries closing at 3 p.m. today (Jan. 5)聽due to inclement weather
Western Libraries will be closing at 3 p.m. today, Jan. 5, due to inclement weather conditions. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Whatcom County, in effect from 4 p.m. today through 4 a.m. tomorrow. The closure of Western Libraries at 3 p.m. is intended to give library personnel and patrons opportunities to travel home safely during daylight so that they can better navigate icy conditions.
