Western Libraries to help kick off Doctober month

The annual month at the starts Tuesday, Oct. 1, and Western Libraries is helping celebrate.

The opening-night event will feature a screening of 鈥,鈥 a documentary film about Megan Boyd and her expertise in fly-tying. During the opening reception, will feature a display of flies and other realia, photographs and manuscript materials from their extensive fly fishing collections.

The 6 p.m. will also feature an appearance by the film's director, Eric Steel, and demonstrations by The Confluence Fly Shop.
