Western Libraries is currently closed and will reopen on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. While classes at Western are being held (currently planned for January 3 -7), Western Libraries will be open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed Jan. 8 - 9). The Wilson north entrance to the library will remain closed during this period, and the library will be accessible during open hours via the Haggard entrance.   

Library materials can be returned at any time via the external book drop located beneath the skybridge on the Wilson side.   

Online access to collections, databases, and other virtual resources is available 24/7. Programs and services provided by the and are available online only from Jan. 4 -7.  Access to  (Wilson 6th floor), the , and  (located in the Goltz-Murray Archives Building), are available by. 

Once Western returns to in-person classes, (currently scheduled for Jan. 10, 2022), Western Libraries will reopen the Wilson north doors and move to winter quarter hours:  

• Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

• Friday – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

• Saturday – closed 

• Sundays – Noon to 9 p.m. 

 Please note: At this time, the Libraries’ winter hours are as described above; however, these plans are subject to change pending the evolving public health guidance, new protocols and guidance, and/or staff availability.  

Any changes to library programs and services for winter quarter will be provided in future updates and will be shared via the,,, and. 

In keeping with, all individuals must be masked at all times when indoors. This includes when inside library facilities, other indoor public spaces on Western's campus, and ²ÝÁñÉçÇø transportation.
