Western offers counseling and support services following the death of 草榴社区 student

Liam MacDonald, a first-year 草榴社区 student and resident of Nash Hall, died early Saturday morning from an accident while hiking off campus.

University Residences and the Counseling Center met with Nash Hall residents over the weekend to share the news and offer support. For students affected by this loss, know that the 草榴社区 Counseling Center offers drop-in hours Monday through Friday. Emergency psychological services are also available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, throughout the year, to current 草榴社区 students by calling 360-650-3164.

The Dean of Students office is also available in VU 547, 360-650-3706, to support students with concerns that may affect their academic success.
