Western on the Peninsulas to Offer Employee-Training Course in May

Western Washington University on the Peninsulas will offer “From Hire to Hero: Training Employees to Become Superstars” in its new Continuing Education program this spring.

Held on the Olympic College Poulsbo campus, the professional development course will cover strategies for hiring, training and maintaining a strong team of employees. “From Hire to Hero” is a non-credit course taught by business coach and consultant, Dave Mitchell. The course will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday from May 5 through June 9 in the Center at Olympic College Poulsbo, room 107.

Current or future business owners, managers, supervisors, human resource professionals and project managers are encouraged to register for “From Hire to Hero” online before the May 5 deadline.

Mitchell, who completed his master’s degree in Business Administration at Texas Tech University, works closely with business leaders in many industries as a professional coach and the author of “Building Your Booming Business,” from which he teaches strategies for marketing, operations, finance, leadership and systems. Mitchell is also a professional keynote speaker and volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America.
