Western鈥檚 Center for Canadian鈥揂merican Studies to Host Free March Screenings of Three Canadian Indigenous Films at the Pickford

Western Washington University鈥檚 will host three free Canadian Indigenous film screenings at the Pickford Film Center at 1318 Bay Street on March 16, 17 and 19.

March 16 at 6 p.m.

鈥 centers on the 2016 death of Colten Boushie in rural Saskatchewan and his family鈥檚 struggle to attain justice.

March 17 at 5:45 p.m.

&苍产蝉辫;鈥鈥 focuses on the interaction between two Indigenous women after they meet on the street.

March 19 at 7 p.m.

&苍产蝉辫;鈥鈥嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌嬧赌鈥 is a dramatic telling of the true story of an Inuk hunter who is approached by a Canadian government agent and encouraged to give up his traditional lifestyle to assimilate to a modern settlement.
