Western submits budget request for the 2019-2021 biennium to the Governor
Western鈥檚 budget request for the 2019-2021 biennium has been submitted to Governor Inslee鈥檚 office for consideration. The budget request includes decision packages for funding for compensation, IT infrastructure upgrades, expanding the prehealthcare program on campus, creating a BS degree in energy science and technology, growing the electrical engineering program, enhancing career services, and increased funding to produce more teachers. These decision packages went through a two year writing and review process before being reviewed by the University Planning and Resources Council who made a recommendation to the Vice Presidents.

After considering requests from all agencies, it is expected that the governor鈥檚 proposed budget will be released in December ahead of the biennial legislative session set to start on January 14th in Olympia.
