Western to present 'Affirming Black Identity' with Niyana Rasayon Nov. 19

Counseling Health and Wellness will present "Affirming Black Identity" with Niyana Rasayon, associate professor at the University of the District of Columbia, from 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, via Zoom.
 
Rasayon is a spoken-word artist, percussionist, author, and Behavioral Neuroscientist specializing in mental health conditions, nutrition and neuroplasticity, and chronic brain trauma. He is a board-certified Fellow and Diplomate in Afrikan Centered-Black Psychology. In addition, he serves as regular consultant on select cable broadcasts and internet podcasts on Health, Racism & Perception.

Affirming Black Identity is the first in Western's Viking Wellness Lecture Series.
