Western Washington University has been named a Fulbright Top Producing Institution by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, with Western appearing atop – faculty members receiving the prestigious fellowship to study and research abroad – with four fellowships awarded. 

Western is the only master's granting institution to be named a top producer from the Pacific Northwest.
 
“It is an honor that for the second year in a row, Western has been named a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for U.S. Scholar awards.  For Western faculty, receiving a Fulbright enables them to participate in international educational and cultural exchange in more than a 100 countries around the world.   This experience can be life changing, and it often leads to cutting-edge research and more meaningful global learning experiences for our students,” said Mark Greenberg, director of Faculty Global Engagement at Western. “Given growing faculty interest and our track record of success, I believe the future of Western’s relationship with Fulbright is brighter than ever.”
