Western Washington University to Offer Continuing Education Course on Branding and Marketing this fall

Extended Education will offer “Building Your Professional Brand” this fall, a three-part evening course designed to help entrepreneurs, freelancers, and self-employed individuals identify their brand and successfully promote their professional services.

The non-credit course runs for three weeks, taking place on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. from Oct. 14-28 in the Communications Facility on Western’s campus. Cost is $125. Parking is free near the building after 4:30 p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to polish their professional brand, create new marketing materials, and develop a plan to promote their work to potential customers or consumers.

An information session will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Bellingham Public Library, located at 210 Central Ave., where students can meet the instructors. The registration deadline for the course is Sept. 30.

“Building Your Professional Brand” is taught by Bliss and Dan Goldstein, a husband-and-wife realtor team whose individual experience in marketing and advertising has led them to a client list that included Clorox, IHOP, Kelly Moore Paints, Visa and Williams-Sonoma.
