Western's Academy for Lifelong Learning Announces New Winter 2020 Offerings

Western's  has announced its winter 2020 courses, offered in three cities across the peninsulas: Poulsbo, Kingston and Port Townsend.

These classes, designed for adults of any age, are short, university-level and cover a wide array of topics including current events, history, sciences and more. Instructors are current or retired faculty, and professionals and scholars from local communities. The cost per class varies based on length, content and venue, ranging from $29 to $99. 

At Village Green Community Center in Kingston, the following five courses are offered: ,,, and . Two of the courses are taught by instructor Dann May, a geology and anthropology professor at Peninsula College. 

There are three courses offered in Poulsbo, including , and . The course is taught by instructor David Weinstock at Peninsula College in Port Townsend. 

鈥淲e are especially pleased to be offering David Weinstock鈥檚 class in Port Townsend. We look forward to the continued growth of our partnership with Peninsula College,鈥 said Heather Purcell, Program Manager, Western on the Peninsulas.

Academy of Lifelong Learning on the Peninsulas courses are offered year-round and convene for three to six weeks, mainly on weekdays. Class sessions are 60-90 minutes in length.
