Winter quarter to begin Jan. 3, not Jan. 4
Unlike past years, Western Washington University will not hold classes on Wednesday, Nov. 23, the day before the Thanksgiving Day holiday. In the past, classes have been held until noon. The university will be open on that day.
Another schedule change is that winter quarter begins Tuesday, Jan. 3, a day earlier than stated on most print calendars on campus. With New Year's Day falling on a Sunday, school will begin the day after the federal holiday is observed on Jan. 2.
