Woodring to hold teacher celebration, discussion in honor of World Teacher's Day Oct. 5
On World Teacher's Day, Oct. 5, Western Washington University faculty, staff and students will join their colleagues from Woodring College of Education to celebrate and discuss teachers throughout the world.
The discussion starts at noon in Miller Hall Room 258. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunches and enjoy an hour of thinking together about strategies for connecting the work done at Western and the local community to a global context.
World Teacher's Day, organized by UNESCO, is billed as an opportunity to highlight the challenges facing the teaching profession.
