Announces Winter Quarter Faculty Research Presentation Series

BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs lecture series for winter quarter features diverse topics presented by faculty members.
The lectures, which are free and open to the public, will be held Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. in Communications Facility 105 on the campus.
- Feb. 10: Diane Johnson, associate professor of Classical Languages, will present “The Heroines of Eobanus Hessus: Classical myths and Christian traditions.”
- Feb. 17: Paul Spiegel, assistant professor of Biochemistry, will present “Ribosomes: ancestral molecules, antibiotics and connection between genotype and phenotype.”
- Feb. 24: Kate McLean, assistant professor of Psychology, will present “Kids Telling Stories: Adolescent identity development in conversations with mothers and friends.”
- March 3: Raine Dozer, assistant professor of Human Services, will present “Trends in the Well-being of Women of Color, 1979-2009.”
This series provides opportunities to learn about research, publication of research and the future direction of research in various disciplines and cross disciplinary areas of the university.
