Andrew Giles, a Ph.D. candidate in the neuroscience program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., will present "'Tapping' into the genes that mediate habituation: High throughput characterization of behaviour in wild-type C. elegans and a nervous-system-biased mutant library" at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in Biology Building Room 234 on the Western Washington University campus.

This presentation, like all other Biology Department seminars, is free and open to the public.

  • At 4 p.m. Nov. 17, Joseph Dauer, a research associate at Michigan State University, will present "Contrasting model-data feedback loops in ecology and education systems" in Biology Building Room 234.
  • At 4 p.m. Dec. 1, , the Howard Hughes Professor and professor of genetics, genomics and development at the University of California, Berkeley, will present "Looking for the Good News in the Human Genome" in Biology Building Room 234.
