Career Services Center to Host ‘Negotiation Strategies for Women’ Workshop April 16
BELLINGHAM – Western Washington University’s Career Services Center will host “Always Ask: Negotiation Strategies for Women” from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 in Parks Hall 441.
The free two-hour workshop is for women who want to learn how to identify their salary needs, evaluate their first job offer and develop strategies for negotiating. Students can expect to walk away from the course with the confidence, knowledge, skills and resources they need to effectively negotiate.
The workshop will feature a panel of successful women who will discuss their experiences and answer questions. The panelists will be: Lara Modisette, program manager of Campus and MBA Recruiting for Nordstrom; KayCee Luxtrum, Human Resources analyst for the City of Bellingham; Sarah Bingham, vice president of Operations for Society Consulting, and Aubrey Bach, Consumer Product Marketing manager for Payscale.
